Visual Inspections with HUVR

Improving Equipment Reliability with Visual Inspection Data

Visual inspections are a critical part of maintaining equipment and ensuring safety across many industries. Accurate and consistent data is essential, whether identifying cracks, corrosion, fugitive emissions, or missing bolts. HUVR helps your teams collect the right information efficiently and effectively. Recurring inspections can be automatically scheduled within HUVR, or pulled from your existing IDMS (e.g. GE APM, PCMS, or Plant Manager).

External visual inspections are frequently one of the first workflows our customers implement. This highlights their immediate value and ease of adoption.

Flexible Data Collection in the Field

HUVR supports diverse methods for collecting visual inspection data, ensuring flexibility for your field teams. This includes its intuitive InspectFlow+ mobile app. The app replaces traditional paper checklists with digital ones, simplifying and standardizing data capture. Inspectors using the app can easily record photos, readings, and detailed notes (typed or using speech-to-text). This is possible even without an internet connection, allowing them to stay focused on capturing vital details regardless of their location.

A significant portion of this field data often comes from drones, enabling comprehensive external visual inspections. HUVR also facilitates remote visual inspections, allowing inspectors to contribute from anywhere in the world. HUVR’s capabilities cover a wide range of equipment types and inspection needs, from internal and external blade inspections for renewables, to API tank inspections.

Centralized Management and Actionable Insights

All visual inspection data seamlessly feeds into the HUVR Reliability Automation Platform. This powerful platform enables data collection at scale. It ensures information is always in the correct format for your needs, facilitating an efficient and accurate workflow every time.

Once data is synced from the field, you can review results in the web portal for quality assurance and control. This happens before generating findings or publishing formal reports. The platform offers an easy slideshow view for quickly reviewing collected items. Visual inspectors can readily transform images into actionable findings. Additionally, you can view all collected media on a map, providing crucial geo-context for your inspection data. This centralized approach simplifies your workflow, leading to more accurate and efficient visual inspection processes and empowering you to make informed decisions.

HUVR’s platform and flexible data collection methods are designed to help customers maintain compliance with industry-specific requirements. This includes those outlined by the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards such as API 510 (Pressure Vessels), API 570 (Piping), and API 653 (Aboveground Storage Tanks).
