InspectFlow+ 2024: Top 3 Feature Favorites for Innovation & Growth This Year

2024 was an incredible year for HUVR – and more specifically, for our InspectFlow+ application. Thanks to the hard work of our team and the valuable feedback from our customers, we’ve released 17 builds this year with over 70 features and improvements to make InspectFlow+ even more powerful, user-friendly, and efficient for all.

With so many features to consider this year, we had to limit our year in review to just a few. We took a survey to see what our top three features from 2024 were – here’s what our respondents had to say.

Feature Favorite #3: Local Project Search

Starting from the bottom (now we’re here!) with our respondents’ pick for third place this year, we’re unpacking our local project search feature with you.

Offline capability is core to InspectFlow+’s strong performance in the field. While offline, inspectors need to be able to search for and find key projects that might not be immediately visible, and that might not be available in other applications when connectivity goes out.

With HUVR’s local search capability, users can search offline for the projects they need by name and asset for quick and accurate results. Search is simple, easy, and works fast so your teams waste no expense waiting for results in potentially hazardous areas.

BONUS: Searches also work with work packs, so users have all the tools they need for inspection success at their fingertips with a few taps of the tablet.

Feature Favorite #2: One-Tap Pinned Media

Our respondents’ number two top feature in 2024 was InspectFlow+’s pinned media capability. 

HUVR’s InspectFlow+ app syncs drawings and documentation for easy access during inspection. In potentially hazardous environments where efficiency is king, even a few taps to open a document can be a roadblock. 

With pinned media capabilities, users can pin media objects to the top of their project pages for easy, efficient one-tap success. Thanks to our pinned media feature, users can switch between documents and inspections seamlessly in the HUVR hub with one tap to cultivate crucial efficiencies at scale.

Feature Favorite #1: Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Data Collection

With ultrasonic testing (UT) making up nearly 60% of asset integrity activities for some customers, it’s no surprise our UT data collection feature topped the charts as the favorite InspectFlow+ tool of 2024.

At HUVR, we’re all about innovation and putting customers first. That’s why we supercharged our UT data logger integration—making UT data collection faster, easier, and stress-free with seamless Bluetooth connectivity. The result? Smarter, faster UT data collection at scale for our customers.

These improvements to the UT data collection feature are the reason this key functionality topped the charts this year:

• Quicker data collection: Enhancements to our direct integration made for faster data collection than ever before.
• Collapsable sections: Sections in our UT programs can now collapse for a focused screen and quicker browsing.
• Jump to next measurement: Once a measurement has been taken, InspectFlow+ automatically jumps to the next measurement for optimized efficiency in the field.

Honorable Mention: Emergency Backup

A core feature of InspectFlow+ is the ability to work without network connectivity. For longer stints without connectivity, emergency backup is a secret savior for inspectors in the field who don’t always have the time or capacity to remember to hit ‘save.’

While users complete inspections in the field, InspectFlow+ is working in the background to save progress in a zip file with all of your offline data. Once you’re back online, the file can be readily shared from mobile device to laptop once back in the office for a hassle-free experience.
